How to Update Firmware on American Standard® Home Devices

In some cases, you may be asked to check for firmware updates for one or more of your devices.  You can update most devices using the instructions below.

 

NOTE:   This process applies only to Z-Wave devices and Silver 724 thermostats.  Firmware updates for Gold 824, Platinum 850/1050, and Link UX360 thermostats are controlled by American Standard Home and applied automatically. Platinum 950 and Silver 624 thermostats require an on-site update performed by a dealer.  Please call your local American Standard dealer and do not attempt the process below.

1. Log into the American Standard Home web portal at www.asairhome.com. 
2. If you have multiple homes, select the home you want to update. 
   
3. Click Edit under the picture of your home. 
   
4. Select Firmware at the top of the screen.
   
5. Any devices that have updates available will have a button that says Update Firmware.  Click this to begin. 
   
6. American Standard Home will warn you of the approximate amount of time the update will take and ask you to confirm. 
   
7. American Standard Home will display the progress of the update. Once the update is complete, the device you updated will reboot and return to normal function.  If the update fails, please contact Customer Support.
